SNMP Informant - Cluster
SNMP Informant-Cluster allows you to collect Microsoft Cluster Services information remotely using SNMP, by linking into the Cluster Services components on your Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 cluster server.
Informant-MSCS was developed to make it easier to assess the state of your Cluster Services without having to start the Cluster Administrator program, or (for that matter) from having to use a Windows system to do it.
You can query the state of the cluster (up/failed, etc.), and alert on the return value of the SNMP GET. Cluster Down? Alert! Fail-over? Alert!
From your SNMP management station (running on Windows or not), you can access most all of the information the Cluster Administrator provides, including:
- Ownership of a clustered group and resource
- Node, network, group and resource online/offline status
- Clustered property values
